In starting a new year, we would like to let you know that we are very proud of our Chamber and its role in our community. The year 2009 saw a yearlong celebration—an incredible milestone—where the Chamber commemorated 50 successful years of effective leadership, progress and advocacy on behalf of our membership. We recognize and appreciate the valuable legacy and intangible assets that have been built and accumulated by our predecessors for us through the history of the Chamber for the past 50 years. We are also very excited about the future of this organization, and look forward to the challenges ahead.

In 2010, all businesses must post all of the updated Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) notice and Employment Development Department (EDD) notices. Make sure you’re in compliance for the new year, and avoid fines up to $17,000.
Remember, required notices must be posted in every workplace whether you have one or one thousand employees. You can purchase all 16 required California and federal notices, including the updated mandatory EEO and EDD updates, in a 26” x 39.75” laminated poster—one good price, for one complete poster! The Commerce Industrial Council Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the annual City of Commerce State of the City Address at its Buy And Sell In Commerce (BASIC) Luncheon featuring Commerce City Mayor Tina Baca Del Rio. The mayor will address the City’s economic profile, major redevelopments projects underway, plans for future projects, and her views on the City’s direction for the future.
