You have to be a part of this exclusive Shopping Extravaganza to see what a truly amazing event it is. Distinguished shoppers participating in this annual event in 2008 spent on average of approximately 6 hours shopping until their hearts were content!
The $20 donation included exclusive discounts to over 35 stores at the fabulous Citadel Outlets, a goodie bag, complimentary baggage check, live musical entertainment, lunch catered by our very own Chamber member Fresca’s Mexican Grill, wine tasting by Leona Valley Winery, chair massages by our very own Camber member The Spa at Commerce Casino, and best yet, over $40,000 in prizes! Additionally, all attendees got a FREE coupon book at check-in to use at participating stores for special raffle drawings and savings at a further date.
The Shopping Extravaganza is an annual event where women and men can shop for everything from beauty to fashion, while benefiting a charity. The Citadel Outlets, Los Angeles’ only outlet center, has held this event for the last three years in a row and teams up to benefit charities including family support and treatment centers, boys and girls clubs, elementary schools, civic and service organizations, and many other related causes. It is the Citadel Outlets’ hope that their events bring more awareness and exposure to these charities while providing some funding they need. “What’s better than shopping to help others in need!,” states Eddie D. Tafoya, Executive Director for the Commerce Industrial Council. “The Shopping Extravaganza is a festive affaire filled with an uplifting spirit so that it can seriously help local charities in need. We’re proud to be affiliated with the Citadel Outlets and this annual event,” added Tafoya. The Chamber has been a part of this annual event since its inception in 2006.

Since 1959, the Commerce Industrial Council, a chamber of commerce, has helped hundreds of businesses take root in the City of Commerce. As we enter our Golden Anniversary, we have been the voice of business since incorporation of our city in 1960.
