CHAMBER NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION AND NETWORKING RECEPTION
Get the most out of your membership right from the start!
Date of Event: Wednesday, June 4, 2008
Time of Event: 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Program Begins: 12:00 PM
Location: Citadel Outlets’ Community Room
The Chamber’s New Member Orientation offers an overview of the Chamber, programs and events, legislative initiatives and activities, sponsorship opportunities, immediate networking, and ways to get involved. This event is held exclusively for new Chamber members, but existing members are also encouraged to attend at their discretion, in order to welcome new members and to share their experience and advice for putting the Chamber to work for your business success.
Its purpose is to acquaint new members with all aspects of the Chamber and provide them with practical tips on how to make the most of their membership.
For members who have not been active, this is the perfect time to get reacquainted and updated on all the new benefits and programs to help your business grow!
New members receive a personal invitation to attend the orientation, which is hosted by the entire Chamber staff and its Ambassadors. Each new member is given the opportunity to introduce him or herself and tell a little about their business. Time is set aside to socialize and network before the actual program begins and a resource table is provided so members can display their brochures or fliers.
The program, which begins at 12:00 PM (noon), provides an overview of the Chamber’s program and activities, includes the presentation of an official New Chamber Member Plaque, and concludes with a testimonial from an existing Chamber member on how they have benefited from membership in the organization, with a question and answer session.
Topics covered include:
- Networking events, such as Business After Hours Mixers: How to “work the room,” and how to start building business relationships and leads.
- Training opportunities: What’s available, and how you can promote your business by participating in a training session.
- Member benefits: Discounts, Ribbon-Cuttings, Sponsorship Opportunities, and more.
There is no cost to attend this event, BUT YOU MUST RSVP BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY ON TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 2008. Lunch and refreshments are provided and it’s a great time to get a head start on introducing yourself to other Chamber Members in a small, comfortable social setting.
We hope you can join us!
