WHY THIS NOTICE & YOUR INVOLVEMENT
Caltrans is formally initiating studies for this project. Based on preliminary plans, the resulting environmental document is anticipated to be an Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Study (EIR/EIS).
The purpose of public scoping meetings, presentations, and hearings is to solicit comments from public agencies, private entities, and interested individuals regarding potential social, economic, and environmental issues related to the project. Scoping meetings also ensure that parties are involved early in the environmental planning process.
